Terms of use
By using this website you agree to these terms. They cover the site's content and the quote form, not the sale of a car or metal itself, which we agree with you directly. Last updated September 30, 2026.
Offers
A request through the quote form doesn't commit you to anything. An offer is based on the details you give us, so please describe the car and its paperwork accurately. Nothing is sold until you accept the offer and the car is picked up.
Information on this site
The metal notes and other pages are general information. Where we describe Illinois law, we link to the statute so you can read it yourself; it isn't legal advice, and laws change. Figures about metals in cars come from the sources named on each page.
What we buy and sell
We buy junk, wrecked and scrap cars. We don't buy loose scrap metal or detached catalytic converters from the public. We sell processed scrap metal; terms for any metal order are agreed directly with the buyer.
Photos
Photos on this site are licensed stock images that show scrap metal and scrap cars in general. They don't show our own premises, vehicles, staff or stock. Photographers are listed on the credits page.
Links
We link to outside sources such as the Illinois General Assembly. We're not responsible for their content.
